44 Students. One Growing Pathway. A New Chapter Begins.

This has been our biggest year yet at GN Sports Global.

Throughout the 2026 academic year, 44 students have gone — or are preparing to go — abroad through our network, taking part in a wide range of programmes, camps, tours and educational opportunities across different countries and institutions.

It is a milestone that everyone involved in GN Sports Global can be incredibly proud of.

Behind that number are 44 individual young people, each with their own ambitions, talents and stories. Some are pursuing football, some are combining sport with education, while others are gaining experiences that will help shape their future well beyond the pitch.

The five students featured in this article represent just a small selection of the young people who have taken opportunities through our network this year. Their journeys are all different, but they share a common thread: they have worked hard to put themselves in a position to take advantage of opportunities when they arise.

Our aim has always been to help create those opportunities — connecting talented and ambitious young people with schools, academies, programmes and institutions that can help them take their next step.

And this year, we have seen that work grow further than ever before.

Vaughn Jackson Jr.

Vaughn Jackson Jr.’s journey is a fantastic example of how quickly a young player’s career can develop when talent is matched with the right opportunities.

Vaughn came through the GNFC Rebels in Antigua before progressing through the Antigua & Barbuda U-15 and U-17 national teams. His potential was identified early, including through the Calvin Ayre Foundation Player ID Combine, which helped open the door to a scholarship opportunity at Brooke House College in England.

Since moving to the UK, Vaughn has continued to make significant strides. At just 16, he made his senior international debut for Antigua & Barbuda, and he has continued to represent his country at youth level, including at the 2026 CONCACAF U-20 Championship.

His development has also brought opportunities to train and trial with professional clubs in the UK and Europe, including time with Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.

At just 17, Vaughn’s story is still being written. What is already clear, however, is the progress he has made — from the GNFC Rebels in Antigua to senior international football and exposure to the professional game in Europe.

We are incredibly proud of Vaughn’s progress and excited to see what the next chapter brings.

Ethan Camacho

Ethan Camacho’s story is a particularly good example of why we believe football and education should go hand in hand.

Ethan joined GNFC at just five years old and has spent much of his childhood developing as both a footballer and a student. His academic achievements have been just as impressive, having previously been recognised among Antigua & Barbuda’s top-performing Grade 6 students.

His first opportunity to experience football in England came at just 12, when he travelled to Brooke House College as part of a GNFC scholarship programme. He returned the following year for further training and scouting opportunities, gaining valuable experience of the English football environment.

That development has since translated into international recognition. Ethan represented Antigua & Barbuda at the 2025 CONCACAF U-15 Championship, starting in midfield against Trinidad & Tobago.

In 2026, another important chapter began when Ethan earned a partial scholarship at Ackworth School in England following the Calvin Ayre Foundation Player ID Combine.

For Ethan, the move to the UK represents more than another step in his football development. It is an opportunity to continue his education, experience a new culture and football environment, and grow as a young person away from home.

We couldn’t be happier to see Ethan take this opportunity, and we look forward to following his journey throughout the year.

Joshua Henriques

Joshua Henriques has been part of the GNFC pathway from a young age and has continued to take important steps forward throughout his development.

At 13, Joshua travelled to England for his first scholarship trial at Brooke House College, gaining his first experience of an international football environment. He returned to England the following year for further training and scouting opportunities — a reflection of the progress he had made since his first visit.

Joshua has also gone on to represent Antigua & Barbuda at U-17 level as a left-back, adding international experience to his development.

Alongside his football, Joshua has remained committed to his education and recently graduated from St Anthony’s Secondary School.

Having now completed his secondary education, he enters an exciting new stage of his journey. His experience in England, combined with his international football background, gives him a strong foundation as he looks to continue developing both academically and on the pitch.

Joshua’s story is also a reminder that progress doesn’t happen overnight. It is built through consistency, hard work and making the most of every opportunity.

We are extremely proud of what Joshua has achieved so far and excited to support him as he takes his next step.

A New Chapter for Women’s Football

This year’s group also includes two young women who are helping to represent the exciting future of football in Antigua & Barbuda.

Ajahna Martin and Abisha Henry have both progressed through the country’s youth and domestic football systems and are now gaining experience at senior international level.

Their inclusion is particularly important to us. Creating opportunities for young female footballers is a key part of building a stronger and more inclusive football pathway, and we are delighted to see both players take this opportunity to develop in England.

Ajahna Martin

Ajahna Martin has established herself as one of the exciting young players coming through Antigua & Barbuda’s women’s football programme.

A talented midfielder, Ajahna has represented her country at U-17, U-20 and senior level, showing her ability to compete at increasingly higher levels from a young age.

She has also enjoyed considerable success in school and domestic football, including being named Best Midfielder in her division during the Generation Next Youth Football League. Her ability to contribute goals from midfield has been a consistent feature of her game, including during her time with the Antigua & Barbuda U-20 team.

Her progression has now taken her onto an international stage in a different way.

Following the 2026 Calvin Ayre Foundation Player ID Combine, Ajahna was selected to travel to England for an elite training experience at the Steven Gerrard Academy, alongside fellow Antiguan player Abisha Henry.

For Ajahna, this is another exciting step in a journey that has already taken her from youth football in Antigua to the senior national team.

We are proud to be able to help create opportunities for the next generation of Caribbean female footballers, and we can’t wait to see Ajahna continue to grow.

Abisha Henry

Abisha Henry is another exciting young talent emerging from Antigua & Barbuda’s women’s football programme.

A defender with Cutting Edge Football Academy, Abisha has already enjoyed success at domestic level, helping her side to the 2025 Antigua Cup International Youth Football Tournament U-17 title and scoring in the final.

Her performances have earned individual recognition too. In 2025, she was named Best Defender at the ABFA Female Knockout Classic — an impressive achievement at just 16 years old.

Abisha has since progressed through the national-team pathway, representing Antigua & Barbuda at U-20 level before earning involvement with the senior Benna Girls squad.

In 2026, she reached another exciting milestone when she was selected to travel to England for an elite training camp at the Steven Gerrard Academy following the Calvin Ayre Foundation Player ID Combine. Abisha was one of just two female players selected for the trip.

For a young player already making her mark at both domestic and international level, the opportunity to experience a different football environment will be another valuable part of her development.

We are incredibly proud of Abisha and excited to see how this experience contributes to the next stage of her journey.

44 Students and Counting

The stories of Vaughn, Ethan, Joshua, Ajahna and Abisha are just five examples of the opportunities being created through our network.

This year, 44 students have gone — or are preparing to go — abroad, taking part in programmes, camps, tours and educational opportunities.

That number represents more than a statistic. It represents 44 young people stepping outside of their familiar surroundings, experiencing new cultures and environments, meeting new people and challenging themselves to grow.

None of this happens without the support of the organisations on the other side of those opportunities.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the schools, colleges, academies, programmes and institutions who have welcomed our students this year. Their willingness to invest time and energy into young people from our network is hugely appreciated.

We are proud of the relationships we have built with these organisations and grateful for the trust they have placed in the students we introduce to them.

Reaching 44 students abroad in a single year is a milestone worth celebrating — but for us, it is also motivation to keep building.

Every placement creates a new connection. Every student who gets the chance to experience life and education abroad has a story to tell. And every successful journey can help open the door for the young person who comes next.

We know that not every student will follow the same path. Some will go on to pursue football at the highest level, while others will discover new academic, professional or personal ambitions along the way.

What matters is giving young people the opportunity to find out what they are capable of.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who has taken a step through our network this year, grateful to every organisation that has helped make those steps possible, and excited for what the future holds.

This is our biggest year yet.

And we believe there is plenty more to come.
